Here we go again. Nearly six months after my brief foray into the world of blogging, I have returned. Call it a fresh start.

After what was shaping up to be a brilliant second half of 2004, 50%+ of my fellow Americans have rained on the parade. On October 29, AAPL is flying high, the Red Sox are the champions of the world, and the autumn California sun warms the cheeks.

Time for a reboot.

Except we didn't ask to restart. Suddenly, our comfortable and brilliant October froze up. We didn't have a choice. Just press the reset button and cross our fingers...

October 31. The sun sets at 5:00p. Immediately begin foraging for dinner at 5:01p.

November 2. The sun sets on democracy. Republicans start crawling out of the woodwork to vote for Dub. It's like "Night of the Living Dead." Iowa goes to bed early.

November 3. It's official. We're screwed. It begins to rain in California.

So it's a week later and Dub's a week dumber. Bummer.
